Procurement Strategy Execution:

The Regional Procurement Manager develops and implements procurement strategies that align with the organisation's goals and objectives. They evaluate suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability, while also building and maintaining long-term, value-driven supplier relationships.

Supplier Selection and Management:

Identifying potential suppliers, evaluating their capabilities, and negotiating contracts as well as maintaining relationships with key suppliers, monitoring their performance, and resolving any issues is a responsibility of this role.

People Management:

The Regional Procurement Manager leads and develops the procurement team, setting objectives, KPIs, and providing mentoring and support. They are responsible for performance appraisals, career development planning, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Procurement Process Management:

This role oversees the end-to-end procurement cycle, including requisitioning, sourcing, purchasing, and contract management. The Regional Procurement Manager ensures full compliance with procurement policies, manages procurement budgets, and tracks expenditure to drive cost-effectiveness.

Cost Analysis and Reduction:

The Regional Procurement Manager analyses cost structures and procurement expenditures to identify cost-saving opportunities and negotiates favourable terms and pricing with suppliers.

Contract Management:

This role is responsible for drafting, reviewing and managing procurement contracts to ensure compliance and risk mitigation as well as monitoring contract expiration and renewal dates.

Budget Management:

The Regional Procurement Manager, develops and manages the procurement budget, tracking expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness.

Supplier Relationship Management (SRM):

Building and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers to facilitate effective communication and collaboration is a responsibility of this role as well as resolving supplier disputes and negotiating terms and conditions.

Risk Management:

Working with business stakeholders, the Regional Procurement Manager identifies risks within procurement activities and develops contingency strategies to minimize supply chain disruptions.

Compliance and Ethics:

The Regional Procurement Manager ensures procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards and implements policies and procedures to promote transparency and fairness in procurement.

Inventory Management:

The overseeing of inventory levels to ensure timely availability of goods while minimizing carrying costs is a part of this role.

Market Analysis and Trends:

The Regional Procurement Manager stays informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and supplier developments to make informed procurement decisions.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Use of data analysis tools to track and report on procurement performance, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions is a responsibility of this role. The Regional Procurement Manager prepares and presents regular reports to the Global Head of Procurement on strategic initiatives, savings, and compliance.
