The Project Manager is accountable for the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional projects across the group. They plan, execute, and oversee initiatives to ensure delivery on time, within scope, and within budget, while managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholders effectively.
As part of a central pool of Project Managers, the role is flexibly deployed across business areas depending on organisational needs, providing delivery agility and building breadth of knowledge.
What you’ll be doing:
- Deliver projects of varying complexity across multiple business areas, ensuring quality outcomes and value realisation.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, schedules, and resource allocations.
- Apply standardised governance, tools, and processes in line with the enterprise framework.
- Identify, monitor, and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
- Provide clear, accurate, and timely reporting on project progress, risks, and delivery confidence.
- Collaborate with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into tangible deliverables.
- Ensure effective change management and stakeholder engagement throughout project lifecycles.
- Rotate across business units and domains to support delivery agility and enterprise-wide learning.
- Contribute to lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives within the PMO.
- Successful delivery of assigned projects within agreed scope, schedule, and budget.
- Well-managed risks, dependencies, and issues with clear escalation where needed.
- Engaged stakeholders with confidence in project delivery.
- Increased group delivery agility through flexible deployment across business areas.
- Improved consistency and maturity of project delivery practices across the enterprise.
Who we are looking for:
- Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale projects in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, hybrid, and waterfall).
- Proficiency in project management and collaboration tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).
- Experience managing budgets, benefits, and project financials.
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Understanding of enterprise governance, risk management, and reporting standards.
- Professional certification desirable (e.g., PRINCE2, PMP, MSP, AgilePM, SAFe).
- Flexible, adaptable, and comfortable being parachuted into new domains.
- Organised, detail-oriented, and delivery-focused.
- Strong collaborator, able to work seamlessly across business and technology functions.
- Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proactive problem solver with resilience under pressure.
- Motivated by driving outcomes and delivering value.
