The role ensures continuous product improvement throughout its lifecycle by guiding development efforts and maintaining both the conceptual and technical integrity of the product.

Working closely with engineering, QA, stakeholders, and external partners, the Product Owner plays a key role in maximizing the value delivered by the development team, ensuring that all delivered features meet customer needs, business objectives, and the agreed Definition of Done.

What You’ll Do

Product Strategy & Market Insight

  • Research market trends, payment technologies, and competitor offerings to identify gaps, opportunities, and areas for differentiation.

  • Understand client and business needs and translate them into valuable product initiatives.

  • Define and manage the product roadmap aligned with the company’s strategy and market expansion goals.

Product Delivery & Execution

  • Lead the end-to-end execution of product initiatives, from concept through development to launch.

  • Define product goals, scope, and objectives for new features and initiatives.

  • Write clear user stories, requirements, and acceptance criteria to guide development teams.

  • Prepare Software Requirement Specifications (SRS) for complex projects or integrations.

  • Collaborate with development and QA teams to ensure features are delivered with quality and efficiency.

Agile & Backlog Management

  • Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring it is well-groomed, prioritized, and aligned with business priorities.

  • Work closely with the Scrum Master and engineering teams to plan and track work using tools such as JIRA and Confluence.

  • Participate in backlog grooming, sprint planning, and estimation sessions.

Stakeholder & Partner Management

  • Act as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, clients, and users regarding product features and delivery.

  • Manage communication with external vendors, payment providers, and third-party service partners.

  • Prepare product documentation and maintain clear communication across teams.

Release & Product Lifecycle Management

  • Plan and coordinate product releases, ensuring timely and smooth delivery.

  • Conduct UAT and feature validation prior to releases.

  • Support release activities including feature demos, presentations, and release documentation.

  • Collaborate with the Service Delivery team to ensure smooth deployment and operational readiness.

Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Track escalated issues in line with SLA processes and coordinate their resolution.

  • Provide ongoing product support and act as a subject matter expert for payment-related functionality.

  • Continuously improve product performance, user experience, and operational processes.

What You’ll Bring

Experience

  • 4+ years of experience in a Product Owner, Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or IT Project Management role.

  • Experience working with software development and QA teams in an Agile environment.

  • Proven experience gathering and documenting requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

  • Experience working on continuous product development and iterative delivery.

  • 1+ year of experience leading or coordinating development teams.

Domain Expertise

  • Experience working with payment systems, payment gateways, or financial integrations is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with third-party service integrations, APIs, and vendor management is a strong advantage.

Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to balance technical understanding with business value delivery.

  • Experience with Agile tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
