Join our team and help craft mobile game experiences that bring joy to thousands of players every day! As a Product Owner, you’ll collaborate closely with product, art, engineering, and LiveOps teams to craft engaging and compelling experiences for mobile games. We’re looking for a creative problem‑solver who combines a passion for gaming with practical design expertise — someone who can imagine great experiences and bring them to life from concept to delivery.

Work mode: Hybrid — 3 days per week from the Wave Office in Gdańsk.

What You'll Do:

  • Create visually cohesive and compelling game concepts and minigame experiences that complement the core slots loop.

  • Design engaging and sustainable game loops, gameplay mechanics, reward structures, and systems that enhance long-term player engagement.

  • Develop and iterate on prototypes to validate concepts, test assumptions, and refine the player experience.

  • Refine game balance, pacing, and player progression to optimize fun, retention, and overall usability.

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, developers, artists, and LiveOps partners to transform ideas into polished, playable features.

  • Work with partners to understand product needs, align on priorities, and recommend effective gameplay solutions.

  • Produce and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including GDDs, feature specs, and player journeys.

  • Own design initiatives from early concept through final delivery, ensuring quality and successful implementation.

  • Participate in sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives as part of an agile, Scrum-based workflow.

  • Support project planning and delivery using tools such as Jira, contributing to timely and smooth execution.

  • Contribute to game and content releases with a focus on stability, performance, and player impact.

  • Stay curious and explore emerging tools, workflows, and technology-based improvements to improve the build process.

  • Coordinate effectively with cross-functional and remote teams, ensuring smooth communication and aligned outcomes.

What We're Looking For:

  • A passionate gamer who enjoys mobile, PC, console, and tabletop games.

  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in game design, product ownership, or similar product-focused roles.

  • Experience contributing to released free‑to‑play mobile games or LiveOps content with meaningful player impact.

  • Ability to design everything from moment‑to‑moment gameplay to multi‑week metagame cycles.

  • Comfortable designing for F2P genres such as social casino, casual, and midcore.

  • Strong analytical attitude, comfortable interpreting KPIs and balancing complex features or economies.

  • Familiarity with agile development practices and cross‑functional coordination.

  • Excellent communication skills — able to present ideas clearly and persuasively.

  • Comfortable giving and receiving feedback, advocating for ideas, and finding productive compromises.

  • Strong attention to detail across feature design, documentation, and execution.

  • Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

Bonus / Nice to Have:

  • Exposure to mathematics-related thinking in game systems, feature balancing, or economy design.

  • Experience working with teams across multiple locations.
