About Flutter UKI

Flutter UK & Ireland are the UKI region of Flutter Entertainment. They unite a dozen brands including powerhouses Paddy Power, Betfair, Tombola and Sky Betting & Gaming, bringing together hundreds of teams and thousands of colleagues, who create trusted entertainment for millions of customers every week.

Role Overview:

The role of Product Owner in the Platform Experience area of Infrastructure & Platforms focuses on improving the effectiveness, usability, and scalability of the internal platforms that engineering and operational teams rely on — including AWS, GCP, private cloud, Slack-based ChatOps tooling, and the emerging Internal Developer Portal (IDP).

You’ll act as the key link between internal users and delivery teams, with a strong bias for action and a focus on clarity and prioritisation. You’ll help shape the roadmap for foundational platform capabilities, ensuring they are secure, scalable, and aligned with the needs of developers, infrastructure teams, and wider stakeholders.

You'll be responsible for shaping a well-prioritised backlog that enables the delivery of valuable, actionable improvements to internal platforms. By continuously refining priorities and aligning work to outcomes, you'll help teams focus on what matters most.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to, and evolve the Internal Developer Portal (IDP), shaping how engineers discover, access, and interact with platform services
  • Translate internal customer needs into actionable user stories across infrastructure and enablement platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP, Private Cloud, Slack ChatOps, IDP)
  • Shape and maintain a clear, prioritised backlog that reflects internal customer needs, strategic platform goals, and realisable value, ensuring work is well-defined, dependencies are understood, and delivery teams can move with confidence
  • Identify cross-team dependencies and sequence work to maximise delivery efficiency and platform coherence
  • Drive adoption and operational readiness for new platform capabilities and tooling integrations
  • Ensure internal platforms and interfaces are intuitive, consistent, and aligned with internal security and compliance standards
  • Act as a central point of coordination for feedback loops, iterating on tooling and services based on usage and input

Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required:

  • We’re looking for someone with most of the following:
  • Experience working as a Product Owner (or similar role) in a technical, platform, or infrastructure-focused environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate with engineering teams, delivery leads, and senior stakeholders to drive shared goals
  • Comfortable managing and prioritising complex backlogs in environments with multiple technical dependencies
  • Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, GCP) and private or hybrid infrastructure setups
  • Familiarity with developer enablement tooling, internal platforms, or emerging practices like Internal Developer Portals (IDPs)
  • Awareness of ChatOps practices or automation in collaboration tools like Slack
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills — able to translate needs clearly and challenge where appropriate
  • A pragmatic mindset - able to balance long-term vision with immediate delivery priorities

Benefits:

  • Hybrid & remote working options
  • €1,000 per year for self-development
  • Company share scheme
  • 25 days of annual leave per year
  • 20 days per year to work abroad
  • 5 personal days/year
  • Flexible benefits: travel, sports, hobbies
  • Extended health, dental and travel insurances
  • Customized well-being programmes
  • Career growth sessions
  • Thousands of online courses through Udemy
  • A variety of engaging office events
