About this role
A Product Manager in Payments owns outcomes across the customer-facing money movement experience at Stake.

You are accountable for measurable customer and commercial impact, not just shipping features. You ensure customers can reliably, confidently, and efficiently move money into, out of, and within the platform and support the development of payment functionality for our full suite of financial products.

Within this domain, you independently prioritise initiatives, make structured trade-offs, and translate strategy into disciplined execution. You operate across a 0–6 month horizon, balancing customer experience, commercial logic, regulatory constraints, and technical feasibility.

This is a unique opportunity to be the owner of all the money flows at Stake, where millions of dollars move a day. You’ll be owning the implementation and iteration of Stake’s core money movement experiences, one of if not the most important journeys in Stake’s platform.

Key deliverables

Product Strategy & Ownership

  • Own and prioritise the roadmap for Payments
  • Translate vertical goals and OKRs into sequenced initiatives
  • Form strong, defensible views grounded in customer behaviour, data, and commercial context
  • Ensure roadmap coherence across all money movement flows

Discovery & Problem Framing

  • Define clear problem statements across deposit, withdrawal, FX, and transfer flows
  • Lead structured discovery with Design, Risk, Legal, Finance, Ops, and Engineering
  • Identify opportunities to improve conversion, reliability, and trust

Delivery Discipline & Cross-Functional Partnership

  • Deliver multiple concurrent initiatives across critical financial flows
  • Maintain a high-quality backlog aligned to outcomes
  • Surface risks early, particularly in high-sensitivity financial interactions
  • Ensure end-to-end ownership of customer experience across flows

Go-To-Market & Adoption

  • Define value propositions for payment experiences
  • Design adoption strategies to drive behavioural change and conversion
  • Partner with Marketing, Ops, and Customer teams for effective rollout

Controls Environment Ownership

  • Own the solution design and implementation of controls within customer flows
  • Partner with Risk and Compliance (policy owners)
  • Ensure controls are effective while maintaining customer experience quality

Metrics & Commercial Accountability

  • Define and track metrics across conversion, reliability, and trust
  • Monitor revenue impact from pricing and FX
  • Ensure initiatives deliver measurable improvements

About you

  • 3+ years in product management (or internal promotion from APM)
  • Demonstrated ownership of an area roadmap or equivalent scope
  • Track record of delivering initiatives that improved measurable outcomes

At Stake, we’re more interested in your attitude than your resume. If you believe this is a role you want to jump into, please apply and let us know why in your cover letter!
