Purpose of the role:
The Privacy Specialist will support the delivery of the privacy programme across Super Groupβs global business by supporting the Privacy Manager (Advisory) for named entities in providing timely advice and guidance to the business on all matters relating to privacy and data protection in line with applicable legislation.
The Privacy Specialist will aid the Shared Service Data Privacy Team in organisational compliance with data protection regulations while implementing and maintaining privacy frameworks.
Key aspects of the role include:
- Supporting the monitoring of privacy compliance
- Supporting the completion of privacy assessments
- Maintaining documentation
- Supporting data protection audits
- Supporting privacy training delivery
- Supporting the Privacy Manager and Privacy Officer in their daily tasks
You will be responsible for:
- Supporting privacy risk oversight management, strategic guidance and consultation to the businesses, with a focus on specific regulated entities
- Supporting the development, coordination and implementation of the global privacy program
- Supporting ensuring adherence to the enterprise privacy risk appetite globally through effective privacy oversight and second line of defence challenge
- Partnering with other stakeholders in overseeing privacy legal/regulatory change management
- Supporting the fostering a culture of privacy by advocating for privacy-by-design, integration of the Groupβs Data Protection and Privacy Principles, accountability and sharing of best practices.
- Co-ordination of supporting teams in the provision of requested personal data, in support of complicated data subject requests raised to the Advisory Team.
- Co-ordination of supporting teams in the management of escalations, process improvements and the optimisation of the service.
- Appropriately escalating any issues or queries via the appropriate channels to Senior Management within the Advisory Team.
- Undertaking general administrative tasks including the management of the relevant data protection in-box.
- Supporting the Privacy Advisory Team to document processes, procedures, templates, reporting, and training material regarding data protection and privacy
- Supporting the Privacy Advisory Manager and the Group Privacy Shared Service with any projects or initiatives.

- Minimum 6 months in current role.

It would be a bonus if you also have (Desirable skills):
- Relevant data protection certification or experience
- Knowledge of, or interest in, data protection legislation and regulation
- Experience working in a compliance or privacy department
- Knowledge of wider regulatory requirements such as gambling regulation and anti-money laundering regulations
