As we establish our new Regional Engineering Office in Belgrade, Serbia, we are seeking a versatile People Operations & Talent Specialist to help us build and support our world-class team of software engineers. This role goes beyond recruitment – you’ll play a key part in attracting top talent, supporting HR operations, and ensuring smooth office management and local administrative processes.

About the job
HR Administration & Support
- Support onboarding and integration of new hires to ensure a smooth transition.
- Handle local HR administration, including payroll input, employment documentation, and compliance with local regulations.
- Establish and maintain HR procedures and processes aligned with company policies.
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, policy roll-outs, and cultural alignment with HQ.
Office Management & Operations
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Belgrade office, ensuring a well-functioning, efficient, and welcoming workspace.
- Manage office supplies, vendor relationships, and coordinate with local service providers.
- Support financial and administrative processes related to the office and company operations in Serbia.
Talent Acquisition
- Lead the recruitment process for engineering roles in Belgrade, including sourcing, screening, and presenting qualified candidates to hiring managers.
- Collaborate with team leads to develop detailed job descriptions and establish a recruitment plan for each role.
- Build and maintain a pipeline of top talent using direct sourcing, talent mapping, employee referrals, social media, job boards, and networking.
- Ensure an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
Local Employer Branding
- Raise awareness of our company and employer brand in the Serbian tech market.
- Partner with HQ to implement and localize talent acquisition strategies to attract top engineering talent.
About you
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in HR operations, with additional exposure to office management and technical recruitment.
- Strong knowledge of local labor regulations, compliance requirements, and HR administrative processes.
- Skilled in managing HR operations end-to-end, from employee onboarding and lifecycle management to payroll coordination and policy implementation.
- Familiar with office management practices to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
- Experience in technical recruitment, including sourcing and hiring for software engineering roles.
- Awareness of the Serbian tech market, including compensation benchmarks, candidate expectations, and talent availability.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with employees, candidates, and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to juggle multiple priorities, work collaboratively across local and global teams, and maintain a proactive, solution-oriented approach.
