The Role
As a People Advisor, you will be the heart of our local offices in Gibraltar and Malta, working closely with our local leadership teams and managers to create an exceptional employee experience and fostering a positive, engaging, and supportive workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted advisor to managers within the Gibraltar office on local people related matters, providing guidance and support
- Represent the People function and provide dedicated support to the local leadership teams for both Gibraltar and Malta
- Use people-related data to identify trends, provide insights, and guide decision-making at a local level
- Champion our company culture locally and collaborate with our Leadership team and Facilities team to organise and promoting initiatives that drive employee engagement, well-being, and a sense of community
- Advise and support managers in resolving complex Employee Relations cases, helping to identify and address the root cause of issues
- Support our People Partners to embed our performance management framework within Gibraltar and Malta
- Assist the wider People Partnering team with local workforce planning and recruitment needs in close collaboration with the Talent Acquisition team
- Process family leave entitlement for Gibraltar and Malta employee
- Update local policies and contracts of Employment to ensure we remain compliant
- Oversee local benefits administration, including renewals with our external providers, actively promoting available benefits to enhance the employee experience and ensure strong take-up
- Coach managers on leading and managing their teams with an emphasis on emotional intelligence
- Work with the People Team on a range of people projects, policy development and company initiatives
- Work with the wider People Partnering team to support the delivery against functional people plans
- Work with the Senior People Partner to devise and implement appropriate people solutions for Gibraltar and Malta team members while considering any global impact
- Partner with People Operations and Payroll to ensure accurate people data, administration and compliance with Employment & Training Bureau
- Partner with People Growth to ensure that we enhance local culture and employee development
- Work with our People Operations team to ensure our HRIS is HRIS is configured to meet local requirements and proactively suggest system improvements to enhance efficiency and the end-user experience
Skills, Knowledge and Experience
- Experience as a commercially focused People Advisor, with a strong focus on employee engagement and workplace culture
- Proven ability in challenging stakeholders via coaching, mentoring and the use of data
- Experience of supporting people projects with a focus on continuous improvement and improving employee experience
- Excellent stakeholder management and cross-team collaboration
- Adaptable and resilient – a resourceful trouble shooter when faced with unexpected challenges
- Proven ability in managing complex employee relations cases with a degree of independence
- Experience of benefits administration
- Solid understanding of Gibraltar employment law and curious to explore and learn relevant employment law for locations outside of Gibraltar as part of our global team. Knowledge on Maltese employment law in particular would be advantageous
- Knowledgeable on best practice people activity and passion for continuous learning and improvement
- Prior experience in a matrix environment would be advantageous
