As a Payroll Analyst you’ll be supporting the delivery of and managing the financial aspects of employee compensation, maintaining accurate records for remuneration, benefits, taxes and financial reporting of cost to company, as well as ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and providing support to employees regarding payroll matters. This will help us excel at paying our employees timeously and accurately enabling us to stay ahead of the game.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
Financial Accounting
Implementing and maintaining accurate brand, region and product calculations and allocation of cost to company, to ensure accurate billing to clients. Review payroll related accruals prior to posting in Business Central. Ensure Intercompany recharges are prepared and posted correctly.
Reconcilliations
Reconcile all payroll accounts, ensuring all payroll transactions are accurately recorded and posted on the General Ledger. Reconcile RSU accounts, ensuring all transactions are accounted for and required taxes remitted to relevant tax authorities. Prepare headcount reconciliation for month-end posting ensuring accurate allocation of headcount to various Brand, Region, Product ,Cost Centre.
Financial Reporting
Generate payroll-related financial reports, analyzing payroll data and providing insights into cost of employment expenses per client. Prepare Shared Services Schedules for Costing Splits as per Finance requirements. Identify trends and patterns in payroll data to proactively identify areas for process improvement, cost savings, or compliance enhancements.
Audit
Take ownership of all internal and external audit requests (including SOX), ensuring deadlines are met
Stakeholder Engagement
Collaborate with the finance accounting team on the integration of payroll data into ERP. Engage with the reporting team on GL Account requirements for Cost of Employment. Work closely with the Finance Director and Snr Finance Managers to ensure accurate billing. Collaborate with HRIS on Workday Costing dimensions and the Work Time allocation process.
Regulatory & Tax Compliance
Stay updated with payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements to ensure data accuracy and adherence to legal standards. Assist Senior Payroll manager with preparation of data for P11D and PSA annual submissions
System Maintenance
Data maintenance and integration of Workday (HR) and ADP systems to ensure accurate cost allocation is posted to ERP. Automation and process improvement on payroll systems and accounting systems relating to payroll journals. Support payroll system implementations, upgrades and enhancements by providing data analysis and testing expertise
