What’s the position?
Hard Rock Digital is seeking an experienced Systems Manager to lead our infrastructure operations team. This role is responsible for managing systems administrators across identity management, cloud platforms, and Windows environments while ensuring 24/7 operational excellence and gaming regulatory compliance.
Team Leadership & Management
Manage and develop team of 5-7 systems administrators including IAM, cloud, and Windows specialists
Conduct regular performance reviews, goal setting, and career development planning
Recruit, onboard, and train new systems administration staff
Establish team standards, best practices, and operational procedures
Foster collaborative team environment and knowledge sharing culture
Manage on-call rotation schedules and escalation procedures
Infrastructure Strategy & Operations
Develop and execute infrastructure roadmap aligned with business objectives
Oversee day-to-day operations of Windows and cloud infrastructure
Ensure 99.9%+ uptime for critical infrastructure systems
Lead capacity planning and infrastructure scaling initiatives
Manage infrastructure projects and technology upgrades
Coordinate with network and cloud teams on infrastructure integration
Identity & Access Management Oversight
Oversee Microsoft Entra ID, Active Directory, and identity infrastructure
Ensure proper implementation of access controls and privilege management
Review and approve significant identity and access changes
Monitor identity security posture and respond to incidents
Support compliance audits related to identity and access management
Gaming Compliance & Audit Support
Ensure infrastructure operations meet gaming regulatory requirements
Coordinate with IT Compliance & Audit Manager on infrastructure audits
Maintain comprehensive infrastructure documentation for regulatory examinations
Implement and monitor infrastructure controls required by Gaming Control Boards Support regulatory walkthroughs and technical demonstrations
Vendor & Budget Management
Manage relationships with infrastructure vendors and service providers
Negotiate contracts and service level agreements
Develop and manage infrastructure budget and cost optimization
Evaluate new technologies and make recommendations for adoption
Track and report on infrastructure spending and ROI
What are we looking for?
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
8+ years of experience in systems administration and infrastructure management
3+ years of experience in a management or team lead role
Strong technical expertise across Windows, Active Directory, and cloud platforms
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD and identity management
Knowledge of ITIL, change management, and incident management processes
Technical Skills
Windows Server administration and Active Directory
Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) and identity management
Cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, AWS)
PowerShell, Python, and automation scripting
Backup and disaster recovery solutions
Monitoring and alerting tools
Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates)
Preferred Qualifications
Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or higher
ITIL Foundation or higher certification
Experience in regulated industries (gaming, financial services, healthcare)
Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent
Experience with gaming regulatory compliance
