About Flutter Functions:
The Flutter Functions division is a key component of Flutter Entertainment, responsible for providing essential support and services across the organization. The division encompasses various corporate functions, including finance, legal, human resources, technology, and more, ensuring seamless operations and strategic alignment throughout the company.
Role Overview:
The Lead Product Owner is a strategic product leader responsible for defining, prioritising, and executing the product vision for Enterprise IT services. This role combines senior product authority with executive-level stakeholder engagement, ensuring Enterprise IT solutions deliver measurable business value and drive organisational capability. The LPO works at the intersection of strategy and delivery, translating senior leadership priorities into a clear, defensible product roadmap and holding final authority over sprint commitments and release decisions.
Beyond individual product delivery, the Lead Product Owner serves as a mentor and capability builder for the Product Owner and Business Analyst teams, establishing product standards, guiding complex stakeholder situations, and developing the next generation of product leaders. This role is critical to Enterprise IT's success, bridging the gap between executive strategy and engineering execution while building a high-performing, empowered product function.
Strategic Product Leadership
Own and articulate the product vision and strategy for Enterprise IT platforms, ensuring alignment with organisational objectives and customer needs
Drive strategic prioritisation of the product roadmap based on business value, customer impact, and technical feasibility
Champion product decisions at senior leadership forums and defend prioritisation rationale to executives and stakeholders
Define success metrics and KPIs for product initiatives, tracking performance and adjusting strategy based on outcomes
Senior Stakeholder Engagement & Relationship Building
Build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal customers, including senior leadership, department heads, and critical business functions
Serve as the primary product interface for high-level stakeholder concerns, escalations, and strategic requests
Lead executive-level workshops and strategy sessions to gather requirements, validate product direction, and communicate value
Manage stakeholder expectations through transparent communication of priorities, timelines, and trade-offs
Represent the product function in senior leadership meetings and strategic planning forums
Customer Satisfaction & Continuous Improvement
Own customer satisfaction measurement, gathering feedback, and acting on insights to improve product direction
Lead post-implementation reviews with customers to validate delivery against expectations and identify enhancements
Drive a culture of continuous improvement by analysing delivery metrics, customer feedback, and market trends
Champion user-centric design thinking across the organisation
Backlog & Intake Management
Coordinate with the Delivery Lead on intake and triage of platform and IAM onboarding requests, ensuring rapid assessment and transparent communication of timelines
Prioritise and manage the product backlog with a clear rationale aligned to business strategy
Work with senior stakeholders, including C-suite, department heads, and cross-functional leaders, to understand strategic imperatives and translate them into product requirements
Facilitate strategic planning sessions with key executives to align the product roadmap with organisational priorities
Requirements & Delivery Definition
Define clear acceptance criteria and user stories that enable development teams to understand business value and success measures
Consult on technical implementation approaches and testing strategies, bridging product requirements with engineering realities
Own the definition of Minimum Viable Product (MVP) scope and deliver releases incrementally
Validate that delivered solutions meet business requirements and customer needs
Sprint & Release Management
Partner with the Delivery Lead on sprint planning, leveraging capacity and feasibility inputs to make final prioritisation decisions that ensure the team focuses on the highest-value work
Drive sprint execution and cadence, removing blockers and maintaining team momentum
Own release communications with requesters and impacted end users, ensuring clarity on capabilities, timelines, and value delivered
Coordinate release planning and go-live activities, working closely with the Delivery Lead on execution logistics
Mentorship & Team Leadership
Mentor and develop Product Owners and Business Analysts within the team, building capability and ensuring consistency in product practices
Establish and communicate product standards, including prioritisation frameworks, requirement documentation, and stakeholder engagement protocols
Guide POs and BAs in complex stakeholder situations, balancing competing priorities and escalation management
Lead knowledge-sharing sessions on product strategy, market insights, and best practices across the product community
Provide career development support to team members, identifying growth opportunities and supporting succession planning
Risk & Escalation Management
Identify and escalate product-related risks that could impact delivery or customer satisfaction
Manage escalations related to missed commitments or delivery issues, determining root causes and appropriate mitigations
Work with the Delivery Lead to assess impact and reprioritise work when needed
Financial Management
Collaborate with the Head of Enterprise IT on license procurement decisions across platforms and IAM tools
Provide input to budget planning and forecasting for the product portfolio
Work with the FinOps team on cost optimisation and license utilisation
Ensure procurement decisions align with product strategy and business value
5–8 years of experience in product management, product ownership, or business analysis roles
Proven track record delivering complex products or platforms across multiple business cycles
Experience managing stakeholder relationships at senior leadership levels (directors, senior executives, or equivalent)
Experience mentoring colleagues and supporting the development of Product Owners, Business Analysts, or similar roles

Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM), identity platforms, or platform onboarding processes (preferred)
Ability to rapidly understand complex technical systems and translate technical concepts into clear language for non-technical stakeholders
