The Industrial (Manufacturing) Engineer is a key contributor to the design, optimization, and continuous improvement of production floor manufacturing systems. The role operates with a high degree of autonomy, demonstrating sound judgment and maturity in decision-making across complex and ambiguous situations. This role must be engaged confidently with senior leadership, to influence strategic direction and drive alignment across cross-functional units.
What You'll Do:
- Analyze production data and implement time and line balancing to optimize efficiency and reduce cycle time.
- Work closely with product formulation, quality, and supply chain teams to guarantee manufacturability and readiness for launch.
- Develop detailed work instructions, process maps, and visual aids using AutoCAD, Visio, and SolidWorks tailored for an assembly setup.
- Develop and maintain PFMEA, control plans, and standardized work documentation aligned with ISO requirements.
- Lead lean manufacturing initiatives such as 5S, Kaizen, SMED, and value stream mapping in assembly and sub-assembly lines.
- Find opportunities for automation and digital manufacturing technologies.
- Initiate continuous improvement projects using Six Sigma and DMAIC methodologies to address quality and efficiency gaps.
- Resolve production and quality issues using root cause analysis (RCA), 8D problem-solving, and corrective action plans.
- Develop and implement balanced manufacturing practices, including energy-efficient processes, waste reduction, and circular material flows.
- Collaborate with environmental groups to guarantee consistency with sustainability objectives and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ESG metrics).
- Develop and optimize packaging solutions for components to ensure protection, efficient handling, and compliance with ISTA 3E and logistics and environmental standards.
- Implement recyclable and reusable packaging solutions to promote sustainability and lower costs.
- Collaborate with suppliers and logistics teams to guarantee packaging aligns with ergonomic, safety, and transportation standards.
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent background in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering.
- Minimum 5+ years of industrial engineering experience in an automotive, heavy machinery, industrial electronics manufacturing & assembly environment.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven experience in at least one full product launch and/or one full lean implementation program.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree or comparable background in industrial engineering, combined with over 3 years of proven experience.
- Experience with SolidWorks and Teamcenter for modeling 3D components.
- Certifications: Lean, Six Sigma Black Belt, MODAPTS, PMP.
- Experience with digital manufacturing, smart factory concepts, and sustainability initiatives.
- Expertise in ISO 14001, ESG reporting, and eco-friendly manufacturing principles.
- Experience in implementing energy-efficient systems, waste minimization programs, closed-loop recycling, and balanced packaging solutions.
- Full onsite role with occasional weekend working needed to support production operations.
- Extensive usage of computers/laptops, working at a desk, and on the production floor.
- May require periodic use of common hand tools such as drills, screwdrivers, floor tape, etc.
- May involve occasional lifting of items not exceeding 50 lbs.

$85,771 - $159,290 per year
