About Flutter Functions:

The Flutter Functions division is a key component of Flutter Entertainment, responsible for providing essential support and services across the organization. The division encompasses various corporate functions, including finance, legal, human resources, technology, and more, ensuring seamless operations and strategic alignment throughout the company.

Role Overview:

As part of the Flutter Tech Enterprise IT function, the Workplace Engineer will focus on technologies that deliver a roadmap of strategic change for Flutter, establishing a suite of workplace tools that support Group and Divisional products and services. 

This role requires a skilled technology and people focused engineer, responsible for the design, implementation, and automation of workplace technologies, ensuring alignment with the overall Flutter Technology strategy. The role will contribute to and support the evaluation and selection of the technologies, tools, operating models required to achieve our group technology objectives. 

The right candidate will have experience working with enterprise organisations on large scale start-up, migration, and modernisation transformation projects. This will have involved a customer-obsessed and collaborative approach, coupled with a strong technical understanding to provide confidence and answer questions, an ability to engage and help crystallise business benefits of migrations, demonstrate a good understanding of cloud solutions, and a passion for helping to transform using cloud technologies. 

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • The Workplace Engineer will need to review, assess, and define technical requirements (including sign off) for Flutter Group Functions Projects, based on suitability to align with divisional requirements. 
  • With a specific focus on Identity and Access management, Okta OIE + Sailpoint IdentityNow, the role will ensure the ongoing configuration, maintenance, and administration of these tools. Supporting Okta org2org & Identity Governance programs. 
  • Evaluate and manage the usage of Okta services to meet team and business needs, automating user and business requirements to drive enhanced groupwide productivity. 
  • Full-service engagement and provide ideas, options, solutions, and advice to global projects. 
  • Drive group engagement, developing and implementing best practice to create a secure workplace, aligning with security controls, compliance, and standards. 
  • Liaise with other Flutter Functions and the divisional Workplace functions, building and maintaining strong relationships, recognising opportunities for strategic collaboration. 
  • Define, document, support, and approve LLD’s, process creation, and perform maintenance on Flutter Enterprise IT technologies.  
  • Design, configure, test, deploy and enhance low\no code automations. Write and test code, as well as perform code review and provide constructive feedback to ensure quality of code. 
  • Responsible for the triage and resolution of Enterprise IT technology Incidents and Service Re 
  • Design, test and deploy API integrations to SaaS applications for User Lifecycle Management and Identity Governance 
  • quests. 
  • Support the Enterprise Architect and Divisional leads with Office Technology and Workplace strategies. 
  • Facilitate the development and communication of Flutter Group standards for design, development, and deployment. 
  • Trusted business partner to encourage interaction from the area (answer ad-hoc questions, share technical expertise, improve processes, improve understanding of how business areas interact with Workplace Technology). 
  • Ownership to create and to drive adoption of standard operating procedures/runbooks and Workplace standards and policies. 
  • Understand people, process & technology to provide enhanced consultancy, faster reviews, and better engagement. 
  • Liaise with Third Party vendors and partners. 
  • Participate in an On-call rota

Experience:

  • Experience as part of a complex architecture/development practice, working on multiple large and complex projects simultaneously. 
  • Demonstrable impact on strategic development of technology in a medium or large sized company. 
  • Detailed understanding of Single Sign On, SAML2 + OIDC 
  • Extensive knowledge of user provisioning, SCIM, API, 
  • Deep understanding of IAM functionality, JML, Recertifications, Correlation\aggregation, Orphan management 
  • Modernising, migrating, and replacing enterprise services (across Workplace, HR, Finance, Security, AI/Automation). 
  • In depth understanding of information and technical architecture and operations management disciplines. 
  • Dependability and consistency in successfully running multiple activities varied in scope and complexity and display of a consistent ability to deliver results on time and on budget. 
  • Delivering systems in security compliant environments. 
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Working in an agile environment. 
  • Incident, change, problem, and risk management. 
  • Bonus points for previous software engineering experience, coding, and automation.
