THE JOB:
As an HR Shared Services Specialist - Tier 1 you will be the first point of contact for our employees, retirees, and their families! In this role, you’ll assist with HR inquiries, resolve cases, and provide exceptional customer service through phone, email, and chat interactions. This position offers hybrid flexibility, supportive training, and opportunities for growth within a world-class organization.
THE STARTING RATE: $18 an hour
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Respond to employee and manager inquiries regarding HR policies, benefits, and general questions via phone, email, or chat.
Resolve cases professionally and escalate complex issues to Tier II or management when needed.
Guide employees to self-service tools and resources for quick resolutions.
Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive employee information.
Support additional HR transactional tasks as assigned.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
At least 1 year of customer service or call center experience required; HR experience preferred.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills; ability to handle inquiries professionally and with discretion.
Comfortable speaking over the phone, responding to emails, taking detailed notes, and navigating systems like Workday, MyMGM, and other software programs as needed.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
