Reporting to the HR Manager, as a HR Advisor you will represent the Human Resources team in providing a first-class HR service to managers and staff alike. This role will include, but not be limited to, building and maintaining employee relations, processing joiners and leavers, talent management, managing data and policies and management reporting.

What you’ll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing advice, assistance and support on Company’s policies, procedures, and documentation to their specific business units for human resource activities
  • Supporting the HR team in the annual review, evaluation and updating of Company’s policies
  • Assisting with the pre-onboarding process (contracts and onboarding documentation-legal and introductory presentations, collaborating with government legal entities)
  • Assisting with the onboarding and induction of new starters
  • Providing support to managers and employees throughout our performance appraisal process
  • Identifying skill or training shortages and working with management and the wider HR team to remediate
  • Working with managers to identify work performance issues and subsequently implementing relevant solutions
  • Supporting on employee relations (disciplinary, grievances etc.) issues
  • Assisting payroll department by providing relevant employee information
  • Ensuring the HRIS (Workday) is always up to date
  • Providing trouble shooting support and resolve HRIS users’ issues
  • Assisting with the implementations of new system functionality or modules and the change management thereof
  • Supporting the HR Manager when requested on various HR projects,
  • Assisting with organizing and maintaining personnel records
  • Creating regular reports and presentations on HR metrics
  • Being available and responsive to any queries being raised by our employees
  • Participating in ad-hoc HR projects

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
  • Proven work experience in a similar HR role
  • Proven work experience in working with remote teams
  • Proven work experience in managing relations with employees and third parties
  • Good knowledge of Maltese labour law (international labour law would be an advantage)
  • Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
  • Good understanding of HR reporting metrics

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some the following skills:

  • In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
  • Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
  • Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
