Job Description

We’re on the lookout for a multi‑site HR Business Partner who knows their way around retail or hospitality, someone who loves being out in venues, championing our people, and helping our leadership teams create unforgettable experiences for our colleagues and customers alike.

As a key partner to our Mecca Venues Operations Leadership team, you’ll shape and deliver a people strategy that supports our business ambitions, drives performance, and makes Mecca the fantastic, fun, inclusive place to work that we’re famous for.

What You’ll be doing:

You’ll partner closely with our Venues teams and Regional Operations Managers, both operationally and strategically to bring our people plans to life and help drive performance, revenue and guest experience.

Boosting engagement across our venues, you will support culture-building aligned to Mecca’s values, and ensure our managers feel confident and equipped with HR guidance, coaching and best practices.

You’ll contribute to People & Culture projects, using people data to spot trends and opportunities, and champion talent by supporting recruitment, development, succession planning and performance management in partnership with our TA and L&D teams.

As the HR Business Partner, you will give our colleagues a voice through regional rep groups, leading on complex ER matters, and upholding the highest standards of CSR, EDI, compliance and governance. You will also step in to deputise for the People Director as required.

Qualifications

  • Strong HR experience, including excellent knowledge of employment law
  • Solid experience in fast‑paced retail, leisure or hospitality
  • Proven success in multi-site or field-based roles
  • Confidence working closely with senior leaders
  • Experience delivering people strategies that drive real change
  • Comfortable working in a matrix structure
  • Willingness to challenge, influence and inspire
  • Broad HR generalist background: ER, reward, talent, recruitment, L&D
  • Fantastic relationship building and communication skills
  • Experience in a unionised environment is desirable
  • CIPD is desirable, but your experience and attitude matter most
