Your Team

Reporting to the UKI Director of Data and AI Compliance and Enablement, the Head of Responsible AI will coordinate all daily activities of the Office. They will supervise the UKI responsible AI frameworks and operations. They will be Flutter UKI’s go-to senior domain authority in AI governance. The individual will be encouraged to drive the standard process data compliance culture across Flutter UKI that results in industry-leading practices, efficiencies, accountability and internal partner trust in our compliance posture and data management.

Within Flutter UKI, the UKI Data Governance Office belongs to the Legal, Risk & Compliance (“LRC”) function. It serves as a secondary safeguard office, passionate about leading all aspects of AI use across UKI. This helps UKI achieve business goals and handle risks in a responsible, ethical, and compliant way.

Occasional travel is required for the role.

What you`ll do

  • Develop and implement UKI RAI framework aligned with Flutter global standards, legal requirements (EU AI Act), and industry standards (NIST, ISO 42001)
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure implementation of UKI RAI policies, procedures, and documentation
  • Supervise RAI risks at enterprise and operational levels with appropriate escalation protocols
  • RAI Office Management: Lead day-to-day operations of the UKI RAI Office as part of the second line of defense within LRC function
  • Strategic Leadership: Serve as the central point of contact and subject matter authority for AI governance across UKI
  • Internal partner collaboration: Partner with data science, engineering, product, procurement, and compliance teams to drive responsible AI use
  • Committee Leadership: Chair RAI-related committees and represent RAI interests in cross-departmental forums
  • Reporting & Communication: Report on key RAI matters to senior management and risk committees
  • Portfolio Management: Coordinate AI initiative intake, risk assessments, technical monitoring, and incident management
  • Training & Culture: Develop RAI training programs and drive a culture of AI ownership and accountability
     

How you`ll do it

  • Shown experience in AI, data, governance, compliance and/or technology
  • Deep practical AI proficiency with excellent knowledge of technical aspects of AI/ML technologies
  • Strong understanding of AI governance principles, the EU AI Act framework, and professional norms
  • Confirmed ability to lead teams and influence senior internal partners effectively
  • Outstanding presentation and interpersonal skills with ability to distill sophisticated issues
  • Track record of efficiently implementing AI governance frameworks in commercial environments
  • Degree/Master's in computer science or related field; industry certifications (e.g., IAPP AIGP, DAMA CDMP)
  • Analytical demeanour with strong commercial competence and resilience to work in multi-layered environments
