Position Summary
The Financial Planning and Analysis ("FP&A") Manager will report to the Head of Capital Markets and will be primarily responsible for driving the company's financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making processes. The role requires a high level of expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting. The FP&A  Manager will be a key player in helping the company make informed, data-driven strategic decisions by providing timely and actionable financial insights. Additionally, the FP&A Manager will implement and oversee quality control measures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data and reports.

Position Responsibilities
  • Lead the budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning processes (both accrual and cash basis), ensuring alignment with the company’s financial goals and strategy.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to support strategic initiatives and business planning, providing insights into performance and decision-making.
  • Conduct scenario analysis and risk assessments to evaluate potential impacts on the business, supporting proactive decision-making.
  • Monitor and support the monthly closing processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, company policies, and internal controls.
  • Monitor weekly and monthly cash flow forecasts, ensuring accurate liquidity planning. Compare actual cash flows against forecasts to identify variances and take corrective action.
  • Partner with treasury and accounting teams to optimize cash management strategies, ensuring the company’s financial health and liquidity.
  • Collaborate with lines of business leaders, finance, and accounting teams to prepare monthly financial performance reports, including variances in costs, revenues, operating expenses, R&D, and capital expenditures (both accrual and cash).
  • Continuously track KPIs, identify causes of variances, and provide actionable insights to senior management to drive informed decision-making.
  • Support line of business leaders and senior finance teams in preparing board and management presentations for budget approval, variance analysis, and updated forecasts.
  • Forecast and track key bank covenant ratios across multiple financings to ensure compliance with bank agreements.
  • Work collaboratively to drive improvements in financial processes, leveraging tools, systems, automation, and standardization to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  • Lead or participate in special projects contributing to the overall success of the finance function.
  • Recruit, manage, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, ensuring alignment with company objectives and fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
  • Act in accordance with company policies and corporate objectives, maintaining alignment with the organization’s overall mission and guidelines.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA and/or professional certifications preferred).
  • Proven experience in Financial Planning and Analysis (6+ years).
  • A proven track record of implementing and managing FP&A processes and controls.
  • Strong expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Understanding of key business drivers and the ability to link financial data to business outcomes.
  • Experience communicating complex accounting and reporting interpretations to senior management and influencing decisions.
  • Ability to analyze complex data, identify trends, and make recommendations based on insights.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and data integrity.
  • Ability to work effectively with all levels of management and cross-functional teams.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Great Plains Financials, OneStream, BI/Data analytics and financial modeling tools.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office experience, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, maintaining composure under pressure while working effectively with diverse stakeholders, demonstrating tact, maturity, and professionalism in all situations.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to travel as needed.
