We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Associate to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting while supporting compliance and business performance. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage priorities and collaborate across teams.
Financial Reporting:
Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements
Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting and reporting standards
Prepare and analyze financial reports for internal and external stakeholders
Coordinate with auditors to ensure smooth audits and timely completion
Support monthly/quarterly/ annual close processes
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement best practices
Utilize technology to streamline and automate tasks
Collaborate with product to enhance financial process and reporting tools
Regulatory and Tax Compliance:
Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure compliance
Adhere to internal controls and risk management procedures
Work with auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
File for tax with authorities in a timely and accurate manner
Optimize current structure for tax filing
Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance. Part-Qualified Accountant is a must /Qualified Accountant preferred (ACA/ACCA/CA/CPA)
At least 4 years of experience in Financial Reporting ideally from the fintech or finance sector
Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and standards in particular IFRS
Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis
Familiarity with IFRS and DFSA/DIFC regulatory environment
Experience with tax compliance and financial filing in the UAE (e.g. VAT returns)
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
