The Finance Team

Our Finance team is at the heart of Stake's growth, turning financial data into strategic insights that drive smart decision-making, sustainable growth, and strong investor outcomes.

We're looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Associate to join our Finance team. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial reporting while supporting compliance and business performance. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of financial accounting principles, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to effectively manage priorities and collaborate across teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Financial Reporting:

    • Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements

    • Ensure compliance with IFRS accounting and reporting standards

    • Prepare and analyze financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

    • Coordinate with auditors to ensure smooth audits and timely completion

    • Support monthly/quarterly/ annual close processes

  • Process Improvement:

    • Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and implement best practices

    • Utilize technology to streamline and automate tasks

    • Collaborate with product to enhance financial process and reporting tools

  • Regulatory and Tax Compliance:

    • Stay up-to-date with regulatory changes and ensure compliance

    • Adhere to internal controls and risk management procedures

    • Work with auditors to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements

    • File for tax with authorities in a timely and accurate manner

    • Optimize current structure for tax filing

What we’re looking for:

  • Advanced degree in Accounting or Finance. Part-Qualified Accountant is a must /Qualified Accountant preferred (ACA/ACCA/CA/CPA)

  • At least 4 years of experience in Financial Reporting ideally from the fintech or finance sector

  • Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and standards in particular IFRS

  • Proven experience in financial reporting and analysis

  • Familiarity with IFRS and DFSA/DIFC regulatory environment

  • Experience with tax compliance and financial filing in the UAE (e.g. VAT returns)

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proficiency in ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
