As a Financial Accountant you’ll be supporting the delivery of a range of various key activities within the finance team, covering monthly management accounts, regulatory reports, financial analysis and other day to day finance activities. This will help us excel at having a value adding and proactive finance function to stay ahead of the game.

What you’ll be doing

As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring the Ceuta operation is compliant with financial requirements, assisting our finance teams and interacting with the local finance authorities in Ceuta, as well as with our partners
  • Assisting in the day-to-day tasks in the finance department
  • Ensuring we are meeting the local and national tax requirements
  • Understanding the legalities and complexities of our Ceuta based operation
  • Accounts payable and receivable cycle: Invoice capturing, payment submissions, reconciling vendor accounts
  • Income statement review and updating floqast reconciliations
  • Balance sheet review and updating floqast reconciliations
  • Income statement and balance sheet analytical review commentary

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table

The necessary skills that we require for this role include:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
  • Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional teams, with a focus on achieving shared goals
  • Expertise in managing multiple projects simultaneously, with a track record of delivering on time and within scope
  • Exceptional attention to detail, ensuring high standards of quality in all outputs
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing environments and priorities, maintaining effectiveness in dynamic situations
  • Proven work experience in accounting
  • Fluency in Spanish and good command of English

Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve

It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:

  • Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
  • Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
  • Accounting qualifications
  • Experience liaising with Spanish authorities
  • Knowledge of local tax regulations
  • Experience in Ceutese tax regulations
