At SiGMA Group, you’ll join a fast-growing international business where finance plays a critical role. From our HQ in Malta, we run global events, media, and digital products across multiple markets.

We are looking for a Finance Manager to lead daily finance operations and maintain strong financial control across the business. This role owns invoice approvals, payroll oversight, commission calculations, reconciliations, and management reporting, while also managing the Malta-based finance team.

You will work closely with the CFO, support monthly management accounts, and play a key role in strengthening processes as the group continues to scale internationally.

Key Responsibilities

Finance Operations & Approvals

• Approve purchase invoices and ensure correct documentation, accuracy, and coding
• Approve sales invoices and support accurate billing processes
• Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely, accurate completion

Commissions

• Manage and review commission calculations
• Validate supporting data and approve commission reports for payment
• Resolve commission-related queries with internal stakeholders

Reconciliations & Financial Accuracy

• Perform and review reconciliations to ensure management accounts are accurate
• Review work completed by finance team members and correct issues promptly
• Maintain strong financial controls and support best-practice finance processes

Reporting & Excel

• Prepare financial reports for management and the CFO
• Deliver reconciled reports with clear explanations, trends, and insights
• Use advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, reporting templates) to support analysis

Team Leadership (Malta Finance Team)

• Manage the Malta finance team (2 inputters and 2 senior accountants)
• Plan workloads, review output, and keep deadlines on track
• Support team development through guidance, reviews, and follow-up

Management Accounts Support

• Support preparation of monthly management accounts
• Provide reliable financial data to the CFO and flag risks or gaps early
• Support ad hoc finance tasks as assigned by the CFO

Requirements

• Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) — or currently in progress
• Strong experience in finance operations, approvals, payroll, commissions, and reconciliations
• Strong Excel skills and confidence producing structured management reports
• Experience managing and reviewing work at a senior finance level
• High attention to detail and ability to work to deadlines
