Playtech’s ECM Systems is looking for a motivated and technically curious Field Service Engineer to join our growing delivery team. Do you want to play a key role installing, maintaining, and supporting IT based gaming systems at customer sites across the entire UK, with occasional travel to Europe? This is a hands-on, varied role suited to someone who enjoys working independently, travelling, solving technical problems, and engaging directly with customers.

Job Description

Your influential mission. You will..   

Be responsible for the installation, commissioning, support, and maintenance of a diverse range of IT-based gaming systems, including:

  • Wireless and LAN networks (including the structured cabling
  • Servers and associated hardware
  • Tablet PCs and charging stations
  • Software updates (with guidance from in-house specialists where required)
  • Assist customers with training and support

Have additional responsibilities including:

  • Carrying out routine and preventative maintenance
  • Conducting site surveys ahead of installations
  • Planning upcoming work in coordination with the Head of Delivery
  • Fact-finding/understanding problems and working closely with the support team to resolve technical issues
  • Consistently represent ECM Systems professionally on-site whilst delivering excellent customer service

Qualifications

Components for success. You have… 

  • A full, UK driving licence and eligible to be insured on company fleet vehicles
  • Willingness to travel extensively across the UK, including regular overnight stays
  • A flexible approach to working hours (early starts, evenings, and occasional weekends)
  • Basic understanding of IT including networking knowledge
  • Strong technical and troubleshooting experience
  • A confident, professional and personable, even whilst under pressure
  • Use of MS office to produce basic technical documentation and site diagrams
  • Comfortability working independently and can use your own initiative to overcome unexpected problems

  • Previous experience in field service, installation, or technical roles (full training is provided)
  •  Experience or prior knowledge of the UK bingo, casino, or gaming industry
