Job Description

As a Facilities Chaperone you will be responsible for escorting external contractors around the site whilst they undertake maintenance and repair work.

You will be primarily working as a chaperone for external engineers ensuring all health and safety procedures are complied with, assisting with facilities related tasks in the warehouse when time allows.

You will also be responsible for reporting any non-compliance to the Project Manager or Engineering Manager for further guidance. The ideal candidate will have good communication skills with the ability to build and maintain working relationships with external stakeholders.

If successful you will be required to provide proof of eligibility to work in the UK from your first day of employment.

Qualifications

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve collective goals.
  • Ability to take initiative to offer assistance to colleagues.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Possession of a full UK driving licence is essential.

Additional Information

  • Greeting engineers upon arrival on site either independently or alongside a Project or Engineering Manager.
  • Ensuring relevant documentation such as Risk Assessment and Method Statements (RAMS) are completed, signed and adhered to at all times by the responsible person.
  • Delivering site inductions covering all relevant Health and Safety procedures ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
  • Understanding of workplace policies and external supplier or manufacturer instructions for the safe use and maintenance of tools, plant and equipment.
  • Unloading and loading large deliveries.
  • Assisting with the movement of equipment.
  • Helping Engineer’s with facilities-related tasks. 
  • General driving duties.
