We're looking for an External Research & Insights Manager to join our Customer Safety and Strategy team, part of Flutter UK & ireland!
The External Research & Insights Manager will play a key part in helping our teams across the business use customer insights and research to drive the strategy and vision to make every moment safe for our customers and to lead the industry in safety and trust.
Engaging with a cross functional group of people, you’ll need to be able to keep abreast of industry developments and academic research. You’ll use this to compare against Flutter’s position and cascade your findings to help shape strategy and influence a varied group of stakeholders, including senior leaders across the business and the wider Flutter group.
Customer safety is a key part of the Flutter strategy. We have decided to turn a complex challenge into an opportunity: we want Flutter UKI to provide the safest gambling experience for all our customers, and to be known as leading the industry in customer safety and trust. We believe this will attract customers to us and reduce our regulatory risk. Moreover, we believe it to be the right thing to do for our customers.
You'll be working in a team that lives and breathes customer safety, experts in understanding who our customers are and how we can best support them to play positively. Providing support not only across the Customer Safety Tribe, but to wider business stakeholders, including global brands. Our insights and knowledge won't stop there, as we look to drive meaningful change across the industry.
Working as part of a wider strategic function, you will be responsible for ensuring teams across the Customer Safety Tribe and wider business have the knowledge and understanding to define and continually develop our approach to customer safety.
Your responsibilities will include:
Regularly reviewing all externally published research, industry publications and news
Creating summaries and positions on relevant pieces and cascading findings internally and to colleagues within the Flutter Group
Co-ordinating external responses to published research using internal information and data
Extracting data from internal and external reporting databases for analytical purposes
Comparing our data and customer behaviour to that in published reports, understanding what that means for the business and using the information to drive strategy
Co-ordinating datasets for external research
Maintaining a research catalogue and calendar of upcoming publications
Identifying new research partners and building relationships with external experts
Attending industry conferences and sharing learnings
Using information and insights to influence our strategic direction
You’ll act as a Customer Safety subject matter expert, making use of research, user studies and internal and external data to inform our strategy and identify key initiatives
Ability to critically assess external research, draw out key narratives and distil information into easily digestible formats for wider stakeholder groups
Proficiency in analytics and data manipulation tools, the key ones we use are SQL and Excel
Strong Power Point skills in order to create compelling visuals to assist your data storytelling
A proven track record of stakeholder management and ability to work with people across all departments and teams
You’ll have strong written and verbal communication skills, including the confidence to communicate internally within our Flutter UKI brands, at Group level and in key external forums
Extraordinary starts here.
