About Flutter UKI:

Flutter UK & Ireland are the UKI region of Flutter Entertainment. They unite a dozen brands including powerhouses Paddy Power, Betfair, Tombola and Sky Betting & Gaming, bringing together hundreds of teams and thousands of colleagues, who create trusted entertainment for millions of customers every week

The Role: 

As an Engineering Manager with Gaming Tribe, you’ll lead, inspire and motivate a multi-disciplinary software development team of 6 people, 4 Devs and 2 QAs. 


What You’ll Be Doing:


You’ll also be leading the growth of your team members by appraising performance, and assisting them with their career development.   

Furthermore, you’ll also be accountable for the hiring and delivery of this team and will serve as a liaison between the delivery team and key stakeholder(s), internal or external. For this, we expect you to actively work with your peers Engineering Managers to align on initiatives and priorities, proactively identifying risks and dependencies throughout all phases of these initiatives. You will be part of the product lifecycle by supporting product owners and other change originators.  

We use Scrum methodology and strive to continuously improve. As a manager, the expectations are that you track, analyse and support your team through change to promote efficiency, quality, and better outcomes.  

Required skills:

  • A technical background with a proven track record of leading and managing multi-disciplinary teams delivering complex software projects
  • Experience in delivering or developing Web projects
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills to engage, communicate, negotiate and work towards compromise and success during our product lifecycle.  
  • Experience leading people and supporting their career development plans; 
  • Demonstrated expertise in fostering and advancing a collaborative team culture; 
  • Strong analytical and diagnostic skills, particularly concerning technical risks, issues, and constraints;   
  • Leading by example, showing work ethic and passionate, professional attitude;      
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English and Portuguese);   
  • Experience of Incident Management;
  • Experience using defect tracking systems. 
  • Excellent spoken and written English
