What’s the position?

Hard Rock Digital is seeking an experienced Security Engineer to join our remote Security team. In this role, you'll be a key contributor to protecting our digital sportsbook, casino, and gaming platforms that serve millions of customers worldwide.

As a Security Engineer, you'll design, implement, and maintain security controls across our cloud infrastructure and product ecosystem. You'll work at the intersection of security architecture and hands-on engineering, translating security requirements into practical solutions that scale with our rapid growth. This position requires both technical depth in security technologies and the ability to collaborate effectively with development, operations, and compliance teams.

You will be responsible for:

• Security Tool Implementation & Management - Deploy, configure, and optimize security tools including SIEM, vulnerability scanners, EDR/XDR platforms, and security orchestration solutions

• Infrastructure Security - Design and maintain security controls for cloud environments, including WAF configurations, VPN implementations, network ACLs, and zero-trust architecture components

• Product Security - Partner with development teams to integrate security into the SDLC, conduct security reviews, and implement secure coding practices

• Identity & Access Management - Architect and maintain IAM solutions, including SSO, MFA, SCIM, privileged access management, and conditional access policies

• Cross-functional Support - Assist GRC, Compliance, and Operations teams with security assessments, incident response, and regulatory requirements

Through your previous and gained experience, you will actively contribute to the continuous improvement of Security processes, procedures, and systems. You'll help shape our security strategy as we scale, ensuring our defenses evolve alongside emerging threats and business requirements.

What are we looking for?

Required and preferred candidate skills and experience:

We're seeking a security professional who combines strong technical skills with the right mindset to thrive in our fast-paced environment. Success in this role requires both security expertise and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic, collaborative culture.

Required Experience & Skills:

• 4+ years of experience in Security , IT or Software Development fields, with at least 2 years focused on security engineering

• Cloud Security Expertise - Hands-on experience securing AWS, Azure, or GCP environments

• Security Tools Proficiency - Experience implementing and managing SIEM, WAF, vulnerability scanners, and other enterprise security tools

• Identity & Access Management - Solid understanding of SSO, MFA, SCIM, conditional access policies, and privileged access management

• Scripting & Automation - Strong skills in Python, PowerShell, or similar languages for security automation

• Infrastructure Security - Knowledge of network security, firewalls, VPNs, and zero-trust principles
