The Crown Is Yours

As Director of Merchandising & Gifting, you will define and lead the strategy, execution, and evolution of DraftKings’ merchandising and gifting ecosystem, spanning DK Shop, the Dynasty Rewards Store and VIP Gifting. Sitting within the Loyalty organization, this role is responsible for driving revenue growth, operational efficiency, and scalable infrastructure across both channels. You will operate at the intersection of eCommerce, operations and vendor management, owning P&L performance, improving cost structure, and building systems that enable efficient scale. This is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership role where strategic ownership meets hands-on execution.

What you’ll do as a Director, Merchandising & Gifting

  • Define and execute the eCommerce strategy for DK Shop, including merchandising, pricing and promotional planning to improve conversion.

  • Own and scale DK Shop and gifting P&L, driving revenue growth, cost efficiency and overall business performance.

  • Identify, prioritize and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and scale, including vendor consolidation, cost optimization and process improvements.

  • Oversee and optimize inventory management, demand forecasting, fulfillment and shipping operations.

  • Build and manage relationships with vendors, brands and fulfillment partners, negotiating contracts and improving cost structure.

  • Own the end-to-end operational lifecycle across merchandising and gifting, ensuring scalable and efficient systems.

  • Define and track KPIs across merchandising and gifting; leverage data to measure ROI, improve performance and inform business decisions.

  • Partner cross-functionally to align on strategic priorities, and lead a high-performing team driving accountability, execution and continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring   

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with at least 8 years of experience  across eCommerce, retail, merchandising, or DTC businesses, with exposure to gifting, hospitality, or VIP programs as a plus.

  • At least 4 years of leadership experience, with demonstrated success owning or influencing a revenue-driving business or channel.

  • Strong eCommerce expertise, with a deep understanding of conversion, AOV and digital merchandising.

  • Proven experience managing P&L and driving cost optimization, margin improvement and operational efficiency.

  • Demonstrated success managing vendors, negotiating contracts and optimizing partner ecosystems.

  • Strong operational expertise across inventory management, fulfillment and logistics, with the ability to build scalable processes.

  • Data-driven mindset, with experience using analytics to inform strategy and measure performance and guide decision-making.

  • Exceptional attention to detail, strong taste level and ability to operate strategically while remaining hands-on in a fast-paced environment.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is 160,000.00 USD - 200,000.00 USD, plus bonus, equity, and benefits as applicable. Our ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
