Playtech‘s GPAS (Gaming Platform as a Service) Team is looking for a resilient and proactive DevOps Engineer with excellent analytical skills and a keen eye for detail.

Job Description

Your influential mission. You will...

  • Design and maintain DevOps solutions for application deployment, infrastructure management, disaster recovery, and more
  • Proactively identify and implement improvements to enhance high availability, performance, and observability of the product
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure all systems meet the organization’s standards for security and reliability
  • Debug and troubleshoot configuration-related issues

Qualifications

Components for success. You...

  • Have 5+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
  • Possess strong Linux and Networking skills
  • Have experience with Docker containers and orchestration solutions such as Kubernetes and Nomad, as well as Kubernetes management systems like Rancher, Amazon EKS Anywhere, and Red Hat OpenShift
  • Demonstrate solid experience in configuration management and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Ansible and Terraform
  • Have knowledge and hands-on experience with cloud-native tools including ArgoCD, Flux, Jenkins, Calico, Cilium, Helm, Kubernetes Operators, Istio, Prometheus stack, Elastic Stack, Grafana Loki, Fluentd, and Fluent Bit
  • Possess programming skills in Python and Bash
  • Have an Upper-Intermediate level of English

GPAS (Gaming Platform as a Service) Team 
This role is part of the GPAS team at Playtech which is instrumental for ensuring high availability and fault tolerance of services in production, setting up and managing monitoring systems, handling production problems and incidents, participating in release management, processing customer requests, and automating processes. Our team is comprised of DevOps and ProdOps engineers tasked with meeting service level objectives (SLOs), deploying services, managing configuration playbooks, and striving for rapid issue resolution. Our work ensures the robustness and reliability of the gaming platform, which hosts over 700 games and processes nearly a billion transactions daily.
