At Betclic, we are on a mission to redefine the online sports betting and gaming experience. At the heart of this ambition is our Customer Experience team a dynamic group of product designers, UX researchers, and product leaders dedicated to shaping the future of the Betclic product experience.
As our Design Systems & AI Design Ops, you will help shape the next generation of our design system. Beyond maintaining consistency across products, your mission will be to make the system increasingly scalable, AI-ready, and deeply connected to engineering workflows.
You will sit at the intersection of Design, Engineering and AI, helping define how products are designed, documented and built at scale.
YOUR ROLE WITHIN BETCLIC
In this role, your main missions will be:
Design System Strategy, Scale & AI Readiness
- Own and evolve the design system as a product, ensuring consistency, scalability and alignment with engineering teams
- Ensure seamless integration between design and front-end development through close collaboration with engineers
- Drive adoption of the design system across teams and ensure its effective and consistent usage
- Define governance models, contribution processes, validation workflows and versioning strategies
- Structure a scalable, maintainable and interoperable design system architecture
- Lead the evolution of design tokens and foundational system elements
- Define reusable interaction patterns that go beyond component libraries
- Build machine-readable systems and documentation consumable by both humans and AI agents
- Ensure the design system is AI-ready, AI-consumable and tightly connected to engineering workflows
- Create and maintain high-quality documentation supporting both teams and AI-powered processes
AI-Powered Design Systems & Workflows
- Define how AI transforms design production and design system management
- Explore and implement ways for AI to leverage the design system and accelerate product creation
- Evaluate, test and scale emerging AI tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Figma AI, Figma Make and other innovative solutions
- Build AI-native workflows connecting Figma, documentation platforms, code repositories and design tokens
- Explore MCPs, AI agents and structured knowledge systems
- Structure documentation and knowledge bases to maximize AI usability and efficiency
- Establish best practices, governance frameworks and guardrails for AI adoption
- Enable teams to confidently embrace AI-powered workflows and new ways of working
Design Operations & Workflow Excellence
- Continuously improve workflows across the entire design lifecycle
- Define best practices for Figma organization, scalability and collaboration
- Set up design reviews and quality gates to ensure system excellence
- Identify inefficiencies and implement improvements that increase team velocity
- Create lightweight and scalable operational frameworks where necessary
Adoption, Culture & Impact
- Drive design system adoption across Product and Engineering organizations
- Promote systems thinking, innovation and experimentation
- Act as a bridge between Design, Product and Engineering teams
- Support teams in understanding and leveraging AI-enabled design workflows
- Increase overall design leverage, efficiency and organizational impact

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for passionate and curious professionals who bring kindness and a touch of enthusiasm !
This job is for you if:
Must-have
- Significant experience building, scaling and evolving design systems within complex product organizations
- Advanced expertise in Figma and modern design system methodologies
- Deep understanding of design tokens, component architecture and design-to-code workflows
- Proven experience collaborating closely with front-end engineering teams
- Hands-on experience experimenting with AI-powered workflows, tools and automation
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to balance consistency and flexibility
- Ability to influence stakeholders across Design, Product and Engineering functions
Nice-to-have
- Experience with Storybook, Chromatic, Design Tokens, Code Connect or equivalent tools
- Experience with MCPs, Claude Code, Cursor or AI-native workflows
- DesignOps, governance or organizational scaling experience
- Experience driving adoption and scaling design practices across multiple teams

WHAT ARE THE RECRUITMENT STEPS?
If your application is shortlisted, Elliot, Talent Acquisition Specialist, will contact you within a week for an initial HR screening (30 minutes).
Then, you will complete the AssessFirst test (personality, motivation and cognitive reasoning).
Next, you will meet Lucien, Head of Product Design, followed by interviews with Antti, VP of Product Design, Theo, Head of Front Platform, and Thomas, Chief Experience Officer.
Finally, Elliot will conduct a final HR interview to review your AssessFirst results together.
The recruitment process usually takes between 4 to 6 weeks to ensure an optimal experience for you.
