About Flutter Functions:

The Flutter Functions division is a key component of Flutter Entertainment, responsible for providing essential support and services across the organization. The division encompasses various corporate functions, including finance, legal, human resources, technology, and more, ensuring seamless operations and strategic alignment throughout the company

Role Overview:

The Delivery Lead will focus on making software delivery things happen within an engaged, supported and motivated team environment. They will provide the transparency (via tooling), facilitation and optimisation of the product & software delivery machine within a value stream to ensure maximum effectiveness of the squads within the value stream. The role will optimise the Product delivery lifecycle to enable regular release of value, bring predictability to change and ensure delivery balances product, engineering, quality assurance, service operations and architectural goals. 

The role will work in close partnership with the Engineering Manager, Quality Assurance, Product Manager, Architect / Principal Engineer and Service Operations to manage transformation and continuous improvement for their value stream and the squads within. The role focuses on balancing product, engineering, quality, architectural, and operational objectives while fostering autonomous, self-organising squads and a strong culture of collaboration and learning.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

  • People-Centric Leadership
    • Foster a healthy, collaborative, and self-organising value or enabling stream environment.
    • Create a motivating atmosphere that supports team engagement and performance.
  • Delivery Leadership & Optimisation
    • Enable effective delivery of initiatives through structured facilitation, coaching and delivery governance.
    • Optimise the product delivery lifecycle to support regular release of value and predictable change outcomes.
    • Ensure alignment between product, engineering, QA, service operations, and architectural goals.
  • Partnership & Planning
    • Collaborate with Senior Engineering Managers and Lead Product Managers to establish clear delivery plans and prioritisation.
    • Support data-driven decision making through delivery insights and metrics.
  • Stakeholder Management
    • Align and engage cross-divisional and cross-disciplinary stakeholders.
    • Provide transparent updates on delivery plans, progress, risks, and overall delivery health.
  • Squad Enablement
    • Support autonomous squads through transparent measurement, coaching, and delivery operations practices.
    • Teach and embed effective delivery practices across teams.
    • Coach Engineering Managers and Product Owners to improve delivery effectiveness.
  • Agile Leadership
    • Lead and promote Agile ways of working and intelligent tooling adoption.
    • Encourage social learning and collaboration across teams.
  • Continuous Improvement & Transformation
    • Drive transformation initiatives and continuous improvement within the value stream.
    • Identify and remove delivery waste, improve dependency management, and balance workloads.
    • Promote learning and share best practices across the Global Platforms Delivery Community.

Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required:

  • Strong experience leading delivery within Agile environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to optimise delivery processes and improve team effectiveness.
  • Experience working closely with Engineering, Product, QA, Architecture, and Operations functions.
  • Proven stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and mentoring capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of Agile delivery practices, frameworks, and tooling.
  • Ability to use metrics and data to drive delivery decisions and continuous improvement.
  • Experience supporting autonomous, self-organising teams.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to provide clear delivery transparency and reporting.
  • Experience driving organisational transformation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Core Practitioner: Expertise in designing, developing, validating, and overseeing AI systems, including implementation of governance frameworks and ensuring alignment with ethical and operational standards.
