We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader to head our Framework Team (Data DevOps), a group that plays a pivotal role in developing and maintaining the core components of our Data Platform. This team is responsible for delivering robust automation, efficient CI/CD pipelines, and scalable frameworks that empower data engineering and analytics across the organization.
As a Team Leader, you will guide a team of engineers, foster technical excellence, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality solutions. You will work closely with infrastructure and data teams to evolve and optimize our technology stack with a strong emphasis on reliability, performance, and security.
What you’ll be doing:
Leadership & Team Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of framework engineers.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Manage workload distribution, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Technical Ownership
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of Generic Framework, an in-house solution built on DBT and used across the data platform.
- Establish and enforce best practices for CI/CD pipelines, process automation, and infrastructure as code.
- Drive enhancements in monitoring, alerting, and overall observability of technical processes.
Platform Maintenance & Enhancements
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for data platform components.
- Automate repetitive tasks to improve operational efficiency and reliability.
- Develop and evolve generic frameworks that support data engineering workflows.
- Monitor technical processes and ensure proactive issue detection and resolution.
- Collaborate on new feature development, platform scalability, and architectural improvements.
- Manage patching, rolling updates, and ongoing maintenance of the data platform’s technology stack.
- Optimize the performance and reliability of frameworks, automation tools, and platform services.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Management
- Partner closely with data engineering and infrastructure teams to align frameworks with business and technical needs.
- Clearly communicate progress, risks, and technical decisions to relevant stakeholders.

Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- Technical Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Python, CI/CD tooling, and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams and oversee complex, cross-functional projects.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve issues across multiple layers of the technology stack.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts clearly.
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, platform engineering, DevOps, or related technical roles.
- 2+ years of experience in a leadership or team lead capacity.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience working with modern data platforms such as Snowflake.
- Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic).
- Knowledge of behavior-driven development frameworks (e.g., Behave).
