THE POSITION

FanDuel is looking for a Data Analyst to support our recently launched and growing Picks Product. In this role you will be responsible for performance analytics, customer segmentation, reporting and data analysis across all areas of Picks performance. Using your numerical skills, analytic thinking and technological capabilities, you will play a key role in driving this new product forward.

THE GAME PLAN

  • Deliver high-quality analysis, reporting, and customer segmentation to help drive revenue performance of the Picks product and contribute to effective risk management decisions.
  • Improve our understanding of customer behaviors and preferences and use this to deliver insights to stakeholders.
  • Through idea generation and exploratory analysis, develop new and innovative ways to turn customer behaviors into features for use in reporting, analysis and segmentation.
  • Demonstrate accurate insights using easy to interpret visualizations and clear explanations of results, recommendations, methods, biases and limitations.
  • Take responsibility to learn the necessary skills and techniques, in order to work with independence, integrity and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to effectively identify new value add projects and areas for improvement to support their strategic objectives.


THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • Minimum of 1+ years of previous experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in SQL & Microsoft Excel with experience of manipulating large datasets.
  • Knowledge of at least one statistical or programming language desired, ideally Python.
  • Undergraduate degree in a numerate or technical discipline.
  • Experience working with data visualization tools like Tableau an advantage.
  • Interest in sports an advantage.
  • Interest or experience in the sports betting industry is an advantage.

The applicable salary range for this position is $79,000 - $99,000 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
