About the team. The Sportsbook Strategy & Performance Insights team serves as the single source of truth for the online sportsbook business performance at FanDuel. Our mission is to elevate the analytical rigor of the sportsbook, delivering insights that inform strategy, optimize investments, and drive growth. We partner across the commercial organization with teams such as Customer Growth, Product & Pricing, Media & Partnerships, among others, to ensure decisions are data-driven, timely, and impactful.

As a Performance & Analytics Senior Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping FanDuel’s sportsbook strategy. You’ll work cross-functionally to identify growth opportunities, assess performance, and build the analytical frameworks that guide vital business decisions. This role blends strategic thinking, business acumen, and analytical expertise to inform decisions at the heart of FanDuel’s sportsbook operations. THE GAME PLAN
Everyone on our team has a part to play

  • Deliver performance insights. Provide clear, data-driven perspectives on sportsbook performance, customer behavior, and market trends to stakeholders across the Commercial Sportsbook organization. You will help drive performance narrative, translating complex data and concepts into actionable insights that shape business priorities, strategy, and investment decisions.
  • Support tentpole sporting events. Support analytical deep dives and opportunity sizing for marquee sporting moments, ensuring cross-team readiness and real-time performance tracking. Your analyses will help the organization understand what is driving outcomes, optimize performance during key moments, and identify areas of strategic opportunity.
  • Forecast key seasonal launches. Contribute to and refine revenue forecasting models to project sportsbook performance around league kickoffs and tournament launches. These forecasts will provide a strategic view of expected performance, helping leadership understand momentum, set objectives, and calibrate decisions throughout key periods.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally. Work closely with other Commercial teams such as Product & Pricing, Go-to-Market, Media & Partnerships, and Customer Growth, to align insights with execution. You will ensure analytical learnings translate into coordinated commercial action and support the organization’s broader performance goals.
  • Performance storytelling and analytical rigor. Help translate complex analytical findings into clear, compelling narratives that drive decision-making at the leadership level. Distill trends, patterns, and performance drivers into concise stories that drive alignment and strategic action across the business. Help elevate analytical quality, build problem-solving frameworks, and foster a culture of curiosity, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

 

THE STATS
What we're looking for in our next teammate

  • 3+ years of experience in an analytical or technical role preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in highly numerative major (Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, etc.) or relevant experience in data and analytics
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization tools is required, while Python is a plus. Demonstrated experience using data to drive clear actionable insights and influence business decisions
  • Strong communicator who can simplify complex analyses, craft clear narratives, and influence senior stakeholders through compelling storytelling
  • Collaborative operator comfortable working across multiple teams and business units.
  • Direct experience connecting analytics to P&L, margin and revenue drivers
  • Knowledge of sports and/or experience working in a heavily regulated industry is a plus

The applicable salary range for this position is $94,000 - $117,500 USD, which is dependent on a variety of factors including relevant experience, location, business needs and market demand. This role may offer the following benefits: medical, vision, and dental insurance; life insurance; disability insurance; a 401(k) matching program; among other employee benefits. This role may also be eligible for short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including, but not limited to, cash bonuses and stock program participation. This role includes paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays. FanDuel offers paid sick time in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws.
