What’s the position?

We are looking for a Commercial Counsel to provide legal support and guidance across multiple functions of the company, including senior management. The role will include broad legal responsibilities with respect to commercial matters for the company, including drafting and negotiating MSAs, SOWs, sponsorship and partnership agreements, marketing, media and affiliate agreements, product and technology agreements and other commercial agreements.  The role will work closely with teams across the business technology and product, social/free to play games, marketing, finance and operations. 

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a self-starter who can manage a high volume independently and has excellent written and verbal communication skills (including legal drafting skills) as well as the ability to influence others by developing strong working relationships and delivering excellent commercial solutions to complex legal and regulatory issues. The role is best suited for a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a passion for sports and gaming. 

The ideal candidate will have:

• Juris Doctor degree from a top US law school

• Admission and in good standing to one or more US state bars

• A minimum of 3-5 years legal experience with an emphasis on drafting and negotiating commercial agreements

• General familiarity with intellectual property concepts

• Strong interpersonal skills

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quick deadlines and multiple demands

• Law firm experience at a reputable firm and in-house experience in a startup or large organization

• Experience in digital online gaming and/or sports betting (experience working on marketing transactions a plus)

• Knowledge and understanding of the rules and regulations of the gaming industry
