Your Impact:

We’re seeking an emerging Broadcast Technician and an experienced Broadcast Engineer to join Entain’s Media Engineering team. You’ll work hands-on across Studio Operations, Radio, and Outside Broadcast, delivering seamless live broadcasts across Trackside and Sport Nation productions. From maintaining the equipment that powers each show, to ensuring high-quality feeds from racecourses and studios, your work brings live racing to viewers nationwide.

Technicians receive hands-on experience and guidance from our skilled Engineers, creating a clear path for career growth. Engineers deliver expert technical support, lead problem-solving, and mentor the next generation of broadcast talent. Whether you’re starting out or stepping up, you’ll gain exposure across live TV and radio, grow your skills, and make a real impact on New Zealand’s live racing broadcasts.

A Day in the Life:

Based in our Auckland Media Hub, you’ll be at the centre of a fast-moving, live-event operation. These roles bring variety, energy, and the need for broad availability across weekdays, evenings, weekends, local event travel, and the occasional trip across New Zealand to support our Outside Broadcast teams. Here’s a snapshot of your day:

  • Operate and maintain broadcast equipment across Studio System, Radio and OB.
  • Troubleshoot and fix technical faults to keep broadcasts running smoothly.
  • Setup & pre-test OBs, with Engineers handling complex repairs.
  • Submit reports while Engineers oversee compliance and advanced reporting.
  • Engineers guide and develop Technicians, creating clear pathways for growth.

Your Strengths:

  • Technical qualification in a relevant field would be preferred.
  • Current Full Class 1 car driver's license is essential.
  • Full Class 2 Vehicle Licence, or willing to obtain within 6 months of starting.
  • Strong work ethic and growth mindset, with commitment to continuous development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with clear, constructive, professional communication.
  • For Engineers, IT experience and an EAS/Electrical registration is advantageous.
