Backend Engineer

Description

We’re looking for a motivated and skilled Software Engineer with a strong foundation in C# and modern development practices to join our team. You’ll play a key role in building scalable systems, maintaining production environments, and delivering value in a fast-paced, iGaming ecosystem. You should be comfortable working independently on features or enhancements while contributing to the team’s overall success. 



Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain applications using Object-Oriented Programming in C#.
  • Design, implement, and support CI/CD pipelines and containerized applications.
  • Support and troubleshoot live production environments with minimal supervision.
  • Work with different architectures, integrating services and ensuring message flow.
  • Utilize and manage containerization tools (e.g., Docker) and orchestration platforms (e.g., Kubernetes).
  • Manage and query relational databases (SQL/Postgres) and have foundational knowledge of NoSQL databases.
  • Translate and implement product requirements specific to the iGaming industry.

Business Responsibilities
  • Actively participate in meetings with stakeholders, contributing technical and domain insights.
  • Engage in the incident management process, including investigation and resolution.
  • Contribute to process improvements that reduce operational costs and improve team efficiency.

 Team Responsibilities
  • Communicate technical concepts clearly and effectively within the team.
  • Work independently on assigned small to medium-sized projects, delivering results with minimal supervision.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and develop solutions.


Requirements

  • Intermediate knowledge of Object-Oriented programming and C#.
  • Experience in the  use of CI/CD and containerised applications development.
  • Able to support live production environments with minimal supervision.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use and maintain
    the back-end systems
  • Basic knowledge of containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Experience with relational databases (SQL / Postgres), as well as basic knowledge of NoSQL Databases.
  • Understands product requirements for the iGaming business.
  • Write unit tests with mocked code.
