What You'll Do

  • Plan, construct, and upkeep front-end (Unity) and back-end services (APIs, microservices, databases) for improved tools and streamlined workflows.
  • Implement secure, scalable, and high-performance features that integrate with existing game codebases and infrastructure.
  • Build and maintain custom Unity editor tools to automate repetitive tasks, such as content creation workflows, build pipelines, and performance checks.
  • Leverage Unity’s scripting APIs to integrate AI services and automate manual steps in the development and liveops processes.
  • Develop and optimize server-side applications and microservices that power AI features, data processing, and real-time analytics.
  • Collaborate with DevOps team on CI/CD pipelines for automating testing, deployment, and monitoring of solutions.
  • Work closely with data scientists and AI specialists to integrate machine learning models, autonomous agents, and other advanced AI techniques into Unity and backend systems.
  • Assess new AI tools and frameworks to understand if they are feasible for integration and provide value for the business.
  • Implement automated testing strategies to ensure the reliability and maintainability of new and existing systems.
  • Partner with game developers, architects, and product managers to identify challenges and opportunities for automation and AI application.
  • Document designs, workflows, and standard methodologies for broader internal adoption.
  • Proactively identify areas for optimization, new tools, or process improvements.

What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of professional experience in full stack development, preferably within a gaming context.
  • 1+ years of professional experience in AI and Automation development and implementation.
  • Proficiency in Unity (C#) with proven experience crafting editor tools, game modules, or liveops features.
  • Strong back-end development experience with a modern language (e.g., Java, C#, Python, or Node.js) and frameworks (e.g., ASP.NET, Django, Express).
  • Experience with databases (SQL and/or NoSQL) and crafting RESTful APIs or microservices architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevOps & CI/CD practices and tools (Git, Docker, Jenkins, etc.).
  • Shown understanding of software engineering standard processes (design patterns, code reviews, testing, and version control).
  • Excellent communication and partnership skills, with the ability to work multi-functionally in an agile environment.
  • Experience with AI/ML frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, OpenAI APIs) or integrating third-party AI services is a plus.
  • Cloud platform experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP) including serverless computing, container orchestration (Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code is a plus.
  • Familiarity with gaming analytics, real-time multiplayer systems, or other liveops-related technologies is a plus.
  • Enthusiasm for gaming and a strong interest in the future of game development technology is beneficial.
