We’re looking for an Associate Director of Technology to join our Global Sports Technology team.
Global Sports Technology sits at the heart of Flutter’s global sportsbook capability, powering technology that supports some of the world’s most recognised betting brands. Our platforms deliver time-critical sporting data and trading capabilities at global scale, enabling innovative sports experiences for millions of customers.
As Associate Director of Technology, you will play a key leadership role within the Global Sportsbook & Trading Technology organisation. Partnering with senior leaders across Product, Delivery and Architecture, you will help define and implement the technology strategy that underpins our global sports platform.
You will lead multiple engineering teams responsible for designing, building and supporting the technology that powers our Global Sports products. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical influence, ensuring our platforms continue to evolve to meet the scale, speed and reliability required by a global betting ecosystem.
Success in this role will be measured by your ability to build high-performing engineering teams, deliver resilient and scalable technology platforms, and drive continuous improvement across engineering practices within Global Sports Technology.
What you’ll do
Lead and develop engineering teams responsible for building and supporting Global Sports technology platforms
Partner with Product, Delivery, Architecture and Operations to deliver technology capabilities aligned with the Global Sports roadmap
Contribute to the technology strategy across Global Sportsbook & Trading and help shape the future of Flutter’s global sports capability
Ensure platforms are scalable, reliable and capable of supporting large-scale sports data and betting transactions
Drive engineering excellence through strong standards, processes and tools across the product delivery lifecycle
Champion continuous improvement across engineering practices, team performance and delivery outcomes
How you’ll do it
Strong experience leading engineering teams delivering complex, large-scale software platforms
Deep understanding of technology delivery within large-scale digital or data-driven environments
Experience contributing to technology strategy and translating business objectives into engineering outcomes
Strong collaboration with Product, Architecture, Delivery and Operations teams.
Proven track record to build and develop high-performing engineering teams
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills in complex organisations
