About Flutter UKI:

Flutter UK & Ireland are the UKI region of Flutter Entertainment. They unite a dozen brands including powerhouses Paddy Power, Betfair, Tombola and Sky Betting & Gaming, bringing together hundreds of teams and thousands of colleagues, who create trusted entertainment for millions of customers every week. 

Role Overview :

The successful candidate will have good technical and problem solving skills, with a positive and results driven attitude, a strong communicator who is capable of interacting with both technical and non-technical people.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:

· Provide support for development teams to deliver software in all the environments required for a complete lifecycle of the application;

· Handle the automation of manual processes to reduce the support volume that requires human input for development and delivery processes;

· Understand and translate developer requests into infrastructure friendly requirements and deliver configuration and code to streamline the delivery;

· Learn and improve from problems encountered when helping development teams;

· Provide production system support in order to ensure that the systems is working smoothly;

Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required :

· Strong written and verbal communication skills;

· Good English language skills;

· Not afraid of constant change and willing to learn new concepts;

· Good problem solving skills;

· Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment;

· Proactive work ethic with the ability to deliver results and meet challenging deadlines;

Must have:

· Operating System management knowledge (Linux, windows);

· Computer networking concepts;

· Familiarity with the fundamentals of Linux scripting languages (bash, python);

· Programming concepts (algorithms, OOP, TDD, etc.);

· Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban);

· Cloud provider concepts;

· Understanding of virtualised environments;

· Software development and delivery lifecycle (CI/CD concepts);

· Versioning systems knowledge for code / config management;

Nice to have:

· Experience with one cloud provider (ex. AWS);

· 1-2 years of experience with one programming language;

· Server builds and implementation of new virtual and physical infrastructure;

· Git in depth knowledge;

· Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, etc
