Job Description

As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a key role within our vital chargeback team to protect the Business from financial loss. 

Working within the chargeback team, you will report directly to the Payment Card Supervisor.

With the Business's global expansion, this role offers a fantastic opportunity to support the implementation of new processes and the integration of new and existing payment providers.

Your development will include a departmental rotation, offering exposure to chargeback processes across the UK, Europe, South America, and the Oceanic regions. This will also necessitate effective communication with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.  

This role is eligible for inclusion in the Company’s hybrid working from home policy.

Qualifications

  • Experienced using Microsoft Excel.
  • Good understanding of Maths.
  • Basic knowledge of chargebacks and their impact on business.
  • Effective communicator.
  • Excellent work ethic and attention to detail.
  • Passionate about process improvement.

Additional Information

  • Supporting with the development of chargeback processes in the UK, Europe, South America and Oceanic regions.
  • Conducting detailed claims analysis and ensuring accurate reflection of chargeback activity in the Company’s financial statements.
  • Processing daily chargeback files received from a number of card acquirers.
  • Generating defence bundles to send to card acquirers to challenge financial liability.
  • Analysing charged back accounts and updating control spreadsheets.
  • Completing other ad hoc duties as and when required.
