Job Description

Are you a hands-on engineer who thrives on system stability, rapid problem-solving, and continuous technical improvement?

We're looking for a highly skilled Application Engineer (DevOps) to take full ownership of our core application environments. This role is the critical link between development, operations, and our end-users. You won't just support systems; you'll be the primary driver of their reliability, performance, and evolution.

  • Production Ownership: You will be the first and final line of defense for critical application failures. Restore service immediately, diagnose root causes, and resolve complex production issues by manipulating code, data, or configuration files across our core applications.

  • Code-Level Correctives: Go beyond basic fixes. Design and implement corrective code modifications (emergency and planned releases) and develop functional enhancements, utilities, and scripts to automate processes and fill capability gaps.

  • Environment Mastery: Manage the complete lifecycle of all production and non-production application environments on Windows platforms, coordinating closely with development and infrastructure teams for seamless, planned software deployments.

  • Quality Assurance & Deployment: Lead the validation process for all code changes. This includes:

    • Designing and executing Unit Tests after complex fixes or enhancements.

    • Performing System Testing for all code changes.

    • Managing deployments into the QA environment for final User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

  • Proactive Monitoring & Advice: Establish and maintain robust monitoring and event management for production systems. You'll also provide essential technical support and expert advice to IT users on the proper functionality and optimal use of our applications.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as an Application Analyst or Engineer, preferably with cloud platforms
  • Proficiency in SQL, Azure DevOps, Power BI, PowerShell, and APIM resources
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for technical support issues
  • Excellent customer service communication skills (verbal & written)
  • General knowledge of SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and desktop computing
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and basic networking
  • Experience with ITSM platforms (preferably ServiceNow) for incident, change, and SLA management
