Description

Overview: Fanatics Betting and Gaming is seeking an AI Analyst who will be the connective tissue between our rapidly growing suite of AI‑powered tools (ChatGPT Enterprise, GitHub Copilot, internal LLM apps) and the measurable business outcomes they enable. Sitting within the new, cross-functional Applied AI team within our Data Science, Engineering & Analytics (DSEA) organization, you will design rigorous experiments, craft insightful surveys, and turn observational data into actionable recommendations—while also rolling up your sleeves to build proof‑of‑concept automations, experiences and tools. You’ll join a small team of AI Engineers and Applied Scientists who are rapidly prototyping solutions in-house, experimenting with AI-powered tools and testing state-of-the-art models. As one of the first hires of this critical team, you will have the opportunity to transform how Fanatics adopts, governs, and scales AI.

Responsibilities:

  • Own the lifecycle of AI tools — administer access, define usage policies, and partner with Security & Legal to ensure responsible and compliant adoption.
  • Design and run experiments — create A/B, pre/post, and quasi‑experimental studies that quantify the impact of generative‑AI features on speed, quality, and user satisfaction.
  • Develop surveys and observational studies — capture sentiment and behavioral data to complement quantitative telemetry.
  • Analyze and visualize results — use SQL, Python/R, and BI platforms to surface insights and make clear, data‑driven recommendations to stakeholders from engineering to executive leadership.
  • Prototype with LLM APIs — build lightweight scripts, workflows, and dashboards that demonstrate new use cases and accelerate experimentation.
  • Publish playbooks & best practices — document prompt‑engineering guidelines, evaluation frameworks, and experiment templates to enable self‑service across the organization.
  • Evangelize findings — present at internal forums, brown‑bags, and leadership reviews; influence roadmap prioritization and investment decisions.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 3‑5 years in program analysis, product analytics, research operations, or a similar role driving data‑informed decision making
  • Passionate about AI with exposure to generative‑AI tooling (OpenAI chatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude, Hugging Face, etc.), prompt engineering and/or rapid prototyping with AI
  • Thrives in ambiguous, green-field settings—comfortable wearing multiple hats and shipping quickly
  • Hands‑on experience with SQL and a scripting language such as Python or R
  • Proficiency with statistical methods for experimentation and survey design; familiarity with causal inference and observational study techniques a plus
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex analyses into clear business narratives
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, align diverse stakeholders, and drive measurable outcomes under tight timelines

This role is a launchpad into several career paths—including Applied ScientistAI Engineer, or Program Manager—and offers mentorship, formal training, and project rotations to help you reach your chosen destination.
