The AI ML Engineer plays a key role in designing and implementing cutting-edge artificial intelligence solutions that enhance product offerings, personalisation, and operational efficiency across our casino and sportsbook platforms. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable and intelligent systems that drive innovation and deliver value to our global user base.
What you’ll be doing
As part of your role, your responsibilities will include:
Design, train, and deploy ML/AI models to power features such as player personalisation, recommendation engines, fraud detection, and dynamic odds modelling.
Partner with data engineers to ensure robust data pipelines and infrastructure for AI workloads.
Build scalable and efficient systems for deploying models into production environments with high availability and low latency.
Drive experimentation (A/B testing, uplift modelling) and continuous model improvement based on live performance data.
Work closely with Product, Compliance, Marketing, and Risk teams to shape AI use cases that align with business goals and regulatory frameworks.
Maintain proper documentation, ensure model explainability, and support compliance and responsible AI practices.

Essential skills you’ll bring to the table
The necessary skills that we require for this role include:
Technical Skills
Strong Python skills with frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn
Solid understanding of statistics, deep learning, NLP, or reinforcement learning
Experience building end-to-end ML pipelines, from data prep to deployment
Ability to translate business challenges into machine learning solutions
Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS Sagemaker, GCP Vertex AI, Azure ML)
Experience working collaboratively in cross-functional product/engineering teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Soft Skills & Work Approach
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to clearly convey complex ideas
Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams to achieve shared objectives
Excellent multitasking and time management skills, with a consistent track record of delivering projects on time and within scope
High attention to detail, ensuring quality and accuracy in all deliverables
Comfortable working in fast-paced, dynamic environments with changing priorities
Desirable skills you’ve got up your sleeve
It would be great if you also have some of the following skills:
Experience in the online gaming or sports betting industry
Familiarity with real-time data processing (e.g., Kafka, Spark Streaming)
Exposure to responsible gaming or fraud prevention AI applications
Understanding of MLOps practices and CI/CD pipelines for ML
Familiarity with predictive modelling for LTV, churn, and player segmentation
Experience with Kubernetes and containerisation of ML workloads
Knowledge of ethical AI and data privacy practices in regulated environments
In-depth knowledge of sports betting markets, including odds calculation, betting types and market trends
Previous experience in the online gaming or casino industry, with a strong understanding of player behaviour and industry regulations
Familiarity with gambling regulations and compliance requirements in various jurisdictions, ensuring adherence to legal standards
Experience in developing and executing customer retention strategies
