THE JOB:
As an Accountant at MGM Northfield Park, you will shine by assisting in the preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and established company policies. You’ll also manage monthly balance sheet reconciliations and tackle exciting ad-hoc accounting projects as requested by management. Join us and play a vital role in driving our financial success!
THE DAY-TO-DAY:
Accurately record transactional activity in the general ledger in a timely manner.
Evaluate and implement internal controls to ensure effective operational processes.
Generate and deliver necessary financial reports promptly, ensuring accuracy for both routine and ad-hoc requests.
Ensure compliance with GAAP and MGM Resorts International accounting policies across all business units.
Foster a collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork, employee recognition, and satisfaction, while enhancing internal customer service.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
Possession of a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is required.
1+ years of prior relevant experience in accounting or auditing is required.
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) experience in working with all levels of management is preferred.
The ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams is preferred.
Will have strong organizational skills to function effectively while still maintaining attention to detail and meeting established deadlines.
