They unite a dozen brands including powerhouses Paddy Power, Betfair, Tombola and Sky Betting & Gaming, bringing together hundreds of teams and thousands of colleagues, who create trusted entertainment for millions of customers every week.
Role Overview:
The Team
The Promotions and Content team are responsible for keeping Paddy Power, Betfair and SBG customers safe and engaged. Sitting in the wider Marketing Operations function, this team create promotional mechanics, landing pages and onsite content across our sports and gaming sites. Crucially, the team must ensure there is a 100% quality of execution through quality control processes across a number of tools and regularly review in order to adapt to the evolving marketplace.
The team will measure success through opt-in rates, click to bet rate and overall conversion of our customers.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing operational tasks and processes that will facilitate the business in delivering the best customer experience and product offering. Our teams deal with promoting events via promotional banners, quick links, promotions, live video ensuring content on site is up to date and relevant for our customers. As globally sports events take place nonstop, this role involves evening shifts and weekends.
As a Sports Promotions Executive, you will be responsible for processing customer payouts in accordance with promotional mechanics, verifying reward eligibility, and ensuring compliance with internal policies and industry regulations.
You will work closely with marketing, Content, CRM, product, and technology teams to create engaging promotional content, build landing pages, and optimize user journeys. Your attention to detail and ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously will be crucial in driving customer engagement and satisfaction. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and the ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines to maintain operational accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute and process promotional payouts accurately and efficiently based on predefined promotional mechanics.
- Creation and settlement of promotions for both Online and Retail products
- Verify customer eligibility for rewards, ensuring compliance with promotional terms and conditions.
- Responsible for the operational creation of acquisition, retention and product offers/landing pages across all brand and regions and subsequent QA/communication
- Run SQL queries to find different sets of data that will be used to credit or block customer activity on promotions
- Monitor and reconcile promotional fulfilment transactions, identifying and resolving discrepancies.
- Collaborate with trading, marketing, CRM, and risk teams to ensure smooth execution of promotional offers.
- Maintain detailed records of payout transactions, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Identify and escalate potential issues or fraudulent activities related to promotional payouts.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance fulfilment accuracy, efficiency, and automation.
- Ensure adherence to responsible gambling policies, regulatory requirements, and internal procedures.
- Provide regular reports and insights on promotional payout performance and trends to key stakeholders.
- Set up and configure sports betting promotions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with promotional mechanics.
- Build and maintain engaging, high-converting landing pages for promotional campaigns.
- Collaborate with design, content, and development teams to enhance promotional assets and user experience.
- Work closely with marketing and CRM teams to align promotions with customer segmentation and lifecycle strategies.
- Ensure all promotions are tested before launch and function correctly across multiple platforms and devices.
- Monitor promotion performance and customer engagement, providing insights for optimization.
- Ensure all promotions comply with industry regulations, responsible gaming policies, and internal guidelines.
- Work with Audit and Legal teams to ensure promotional assets are compliant with all regulatory bodies
- Hands-on attitude regarding ad-hoc requests from different teams or outages where we are point of contact for issue resolution
- Take part in daily/ad-hoc meetings and calls when required
- Seek to improve, optimize and evolve current working practices to drive efficiency and quality
- Troubleshoot technical and operational issues related to promotions and landing pages.
- A key stakeholder for your brand, you must ensure you are aligned to the strategy and have a voice in commercial strategy planning.
- Continuously review and enhance promotional workflows and processes for efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, competitor promotions, and emerging technologies to improve campaign execution.
- Adhere to the resource capacity planning process to ensure we are maintaining a suitable level of risk.
- You should upskill in the creation of sports offers in order to support workload and better understand the delivery of a credit.
- You must have a strong understanding of sporting events and how that translates to the betting industry.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience in promotion fulfilment, operations, payments, or a similar role within the sports gambling or gaming industry.
- Strong understanding of sports betting promotions and reward mechanics.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail when processing payouts and verifying customer eligibility.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to liaise with multiple high-performing teams and ensure they are aware of all activities
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Analytical mindset with experience in data reconciliation and reporting.
- Proficiency in using Excel, SQL, data management tools, and internal reporting systems.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
- Knowledge of responsible gambling policies and regulatory compliance is a plus.
