We are hiring a Senior Sports Data Analyst on behalf of our partner in Latvia.

Role Overview:

As the Senior Sports Data Analyst, you will be responsible for monitoring betting activity in real time to protect the sportsbook from harmful exposure while ensuring a fair and safe betting environment for customers. The right candidate will understand that effective risk management is essential to sportsbook profitability and will take that responsibility seriously, balancing sharp analytical judgment with the ability to act decisively under pressure, while also supporting and guiding junior team members.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor real-time betting activity to identify sharp players, syndicates, and suspicious patterns.
  • Analyze customer behavior to detect arbitrage, value betting, bonus abuse and other risk patterns.
  • Set and maintain customer risk profiles based on betting patterns, profitability, and activity trends.
  • Set and adjust stake limits to control exposure and protect sportsbook profitability.
  • Manage risk across events, markets, and customer segments during live operations.
  • Escalate integrity concerns and high-risk activity to the management.
  • Collaborate with Trading, Payment Fraud, and CS teams to enforce risk management strategies.
  • Work closely with VIP and CRM teams to monitor high-value customers.
  • Utilize in-house tools to flag dangerous bets and maintain a safe betting environment.
  • Operate independently within a shift-based team, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
  • Support junior analysts when they require assistance.
  • Remain flexible and support any other tasks needed to maintain a stable and effective sportsbook operation.
  • Escalate and report problems that prohibit performing daily tasks.
  • Provide feedback and present improvements to the sportsbook platform.
  • Passion for Sports.
  • Knowledge of pre-match and/or live trading will be considered as an advantage.
  • Language proficiency in Latvian & English.
  • Able to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
  • Strong numerical and mathematical skills.
  • Able to work flexible schedules including nights, weekends and public holidays.
  • Team player as well as a self-starter.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
